THE INKORE GLOSSARY

Human approval

Human approval is the moment when a person reviews a proposal prepared by an AI and gives, or withholds, their consent to a specific next step.

Also known as: human in the loop · human review · explicit approval

It separates two moments: preparation, which the AI can do on its own, and action, which commits the person. To be real, approval must cover exact content and a known destination.

Useful approval always leaves three outcomes: confirm, postpone or decline.

IN A REAL SITUATION

For example.

Reading a message, checking the recipient and deciding whether to send it or keep the draft.

IN INKORE

How Inkore applies it.

In Inkore, every proposed external action waits in “Review”. You see exactly what will go out — recipient, subject, text, attachments — and your approval covers only what is shown.

The point to keep in mind.

Make the scope of the approval explicit and always leave the option to decline.

Not to be confused with: Proofreading

Proofreading a draft authorises nothing; approval covers a specific action.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is human in the loop?

Human in the loop is another name for human approval: a person steps into the process before an action takes place, with the option to refuse it. The approval should name exactly what it covers — the content, the recipient and the single action concerned.
