THE INKORE GLOSSARY

Context

Context is the set of information selected to understand a request: documents, notes, goal and constraints.

Also known as: request context

An AI knows only what you tell it about your situation. Context is therefore the first factor in the quality of a result: too thin, and the answer stays generic; too broad, and it gets diluted or mixes in outdated information.

Choosing the context means selecting the sources that are useful for a specific request and leaving the rest aside.

IN A REAL SITUATION

For example.

To prepare a proposal, the context might bring together the client brief, the list of deliverables and the points to confirm — not the client’s entire file.

IN INKORE

How Inkore applies it.

In Inkore, each conversation has its own context: the project and the sources you tick. Only those sources are used; adding sources from Google Drive or OneDrive is planned for the preview.

The point to keep in mind.

Don’t mistake the chosen context for all the data that is available.

Not to be confused with: Memory

Memory keeps information from one time to the next; context is chosen for a single request.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a context window?

It is the amount of information an AI model can take into account at once. Even when it is large, it is better to choose the useful sources: a clearly defined context gives clearer results, and it is easier to check where each statement comes from.
