THE INKORE GLOSSARY

Source

A source is a document, note or piece of information explicitly selected as the basis for work prepared by an AI.

Also known as: source document · reference

Sources anchor the result in something verifiable. They make it possible to tell what comes from the documents apart from what the AI proposes or infers.

Choosing your sources also means leaving things out: an old version, an off-topic document or data that must not enter the preparation.

IN A REAL SITUATION

For example.

The launch plan and the meeting notes serve as sources for a progress update.

IN INKORE

How Inkore applies it.

In Inkore, you tick the sources for each conversation from the project’s notes and documents; adding them from your cloud files is planned for the preview. Each source keeps its version number.

The point to keep in mind.

Be able to tell content taken from the sources apart from proposals that have been added.

Not to be confused with: Memory

A source is a reference document; memory keeps a piece of information for later.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why cite sources in a document prepared by AI?

So that every statement can be checked and anything added without support stands out. Cited sources also help the person who reviews the document later to understand where each figure comes from. It is the best protection against a hallucination.
