THE INKORE GLOSSARY

Workflow

A workflow is an organised sequence of steps that leads from a request to a result, separating automatic steps from those that wait for a decision.

Also known as: AI workflow · process

It makes work repeatable: gathering sources, preparing, reviewing, choosing what comes next. Each step has an input, a result and, where needed, a stopping point.

With AI, the key question in a workflow is where a person steps in.

IN A REAL SITUATION

For example.

Gather the sources, prepare a summary, review it, then choose the next action.

IN INKORE

How Inkore applies it.

In Inkore, a mission is the workflow for one specific goal: an approved plan of steps, with review steps that stop before the next part begins.

The point to keep in mind.

Keep automatic steps separate from those that wait for a decision.

Not to be confused with: Automation

Automation chains actions without stopping; a workflow with AI plans points of human approval.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is an AI workflow fully automatic?

Not necessarily. Internal steps, such as reading sources or preparing a draft, can run on their own. External actions and important decisions are better kept as approval steps, where a person sees the exact content before anything leaves the tool.
